The "Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease Risk Assessment Tool," based on the 2013 Pooled Cohort Risk Equations, reflects the latest recommendations from the ACC/AHA guidelines. This algorithm estimates the 10-year primary risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) in patients aged 40 to 79 years without existing cardiovascular disease. Additionally, it facilitates calculations of traditional risk scores such as the Framingham Risk Score, NCEP, Metabolic Syndrome, BMI, and GFR.

The ASCVD Risk App is integrated within MediCalc®, a comprehensive medical calculator platform recognized worldwide for its extensive and regularly updated database. It automates the calculation of over 450 clinical formulas, equations, and scoring systems commonly utilized in clinical practice.

Key features include the innovative MULTICALX™ Master panels, which enable combined calculations with enhanced convenience and precision. The platform also provides valuable point-of-care information to support clinical decision-making.

MediCalc® serves as a unique reference and productivity tool, delivering reliable data processing trusted by healthcare professionals. It is designed for physicians, residents, medical students, PAs, and NPs, developed by Board-certified physicians in the United States. Since its inception in 1996, it has been highly regarded through rigorous review and testing.
